About
The Broadcast Awards are the most hotly anticipated event in the television industry calendar, celebrating the very best in British programming and channels. The awards recognise and reward the UK’s most ground-breaking content, creators and channels.
All entries must have been made by a UK producer; their first transmission must have been between 1 October 20 – 22 September 21 on a UK-based broadcaster, or on a global broadcaster or streaming service where the UK TX was simultaneous with the global launch. The entry price is £345 + VAT.
Judging Process
The awards are judged by a panel of more than 100 industry experts, handpicked by the Broadcast team. The judges are split into groups, and each allocated a category. They are presented with the longlist for their category to review ahead of the judging day, which they whittle down to a shortlist of six on the judging day itself. Each judging panel is chaired by a member of the Broadcast editorial team and after debating the merits of each contender, a secret ballot takes place to determine the winner.
Shortlist Announcement
The Broadcast Awards 2022 shortlist will be announced on broadcastnow.co.uk, in Broadcast magazine and on Broadcast social media platforms w/c 29 November 2021.
Awards Night
Winners of the 2022 Broadcast Awards will be announced at a live event held on 10 February 2022 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane London.
10 February 2022 | JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
